After the full cooker update that installed this kernel the system was
not bootable from any entry in grub, and grub ran in non-graphical mode.
The reason for this was that all (hd1,x) entries were invalidly changed
to (hd2,x) entries, and definitions for non-(hd1,x) entries were
removed, thereby preventing booting to non-linux environments. How do we
ensure this does not continue to happen?
