Hi,

are you using kde4, kde3 or gnome?
are your package medias configured properly?
if you are using kde, please, execute the following command:
cat $HOME/.kde*/share/config/ksmserverrc | grep restartCommand
and please check if printerdrake or autosetupprintqueues are listed.
