It's a hideous abortion of a package, and it doesn't build any more,
and it's not easily updatable (there's a newer version from 2005 but
one of the patches needs a rediff for that, and I really can't be
bothered). So, you pick: either update it and make it build, or kill
it. =)

as the thread referenced there mentions, it was apparently already
basically useless in 2004, superseded for practical purposes by UIM. I
really can't see any point keeping it around in 2008, now UIM has been
superseded for practical purposes by XIM...=)

SUSE, Ubuntu and Debian still seem to have it around, I don't know why.
Fedora doesn't, though. I note that in Launchpad, no bug on it has ever
been filed. =)

Any CJK users who would like to point out that I'm an idiot and we
still need FreeWnn, by all means do.
