I have icons for programmes on the desktop that were placed there under
KDE3, by package installation and manually. None of these icons appear
under KDE4. I know that KDE4 uses widgets, but icons in the desktop
directory should be either displayed on the desktop as is or translated
to a widget to be displayed. Why does this not happen?
