Backports are a privilege not a right. If it doesn't work for you you
are not being penalised, you're simply not able to exploit a potential
benefit. Others are. The world does not revolve around you.
I'm not saying that that additional packages *shouldn't* be backported -
if someone cares to take the time to do it then that is great - I'm just
saying that you don't really have the right to get upset if it's not
done in the way you want.
It takes time and energy to do this, and many maintainers have better
things to do than to shepherd this stuff through the build system.
On a related note, personally I think having a testing repo for
backports is ultimately not worth while as only a small percentage of
users user backports and an even smaller subsection of those would use
the testing version of it. It will just add more overhead to maintainers
to process this and I for one couldn't really be bothered with it (tho'
I've not had need to do much backporting for a while).
