Is there a way to determine the compilation options used for building
the stock version of GNU coreutils, sed, and gawk packaged with RH
Enterprise 5?

I am running RH Enterprise 5 (2.6.18):

Linux winterberry.xyz 2.6.18-53.1.6.el5 #1 SMP Wed Jan 16 03:56:15 EST
2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
