Hello,

I can't change the environment variable of LANG on redhat linux AS5
(kernel 2.6.18).

I have modified /etc/sysconfig/i18n to:

LANG="en_US"
SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16"

Also I added a line to /etc/profile:

export LANG=en_US

But when I login into the OS, the LANG is not changed:

$ env |grep LANG
LANG=zh_CN.utf8
