up2date issue? 2006-06-30 - By Ken Snider

On several fairly current RHEL4 AMD64 boxes, running update (either up2date
-l or for a package, say up2date rsync) is resulting in up2date hanging.
CTRL-C does nothing but place the process in the "T" (Trace) state,
according to PS. a kill -9 is required to stop it.
I've now seen this on several discreet boxen, so I can pretty much rule out
a one-off issue.
Anyone else seen anything like this before?
