e100 Network Performance in Taroon Updates >6

e100 Network Performance in Taroon Updates >6

2006-07-27       - By Tim Evans

 Back
Since upgrading to update 7, we are seeing horrible network performance on
Dell server with an Intel e100 NIC.  (We have verified there are no
speed/parity mismatches between NIC and switch and have tried multiple ports
on the switch.)

I tried the workaround from the Knowledge Base, at
http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_70_7195.shtm (even though this is not IBM
hardware), but nothing changed.  I also see from my KB search that the driver
was upgraded around update 7.

Is going back to prior version of the driver the solution?  If so, how's that
done?

Thanks.
