Is anyone experiencing issues installing RHEL 3 Update 8 and the machine
reboots with "GRUB Loading Stage 2..." and hangs?
We are experiencing this on a few platforms (Sun V20z, HP DL380), but
only when we install certain sets of RPMs. grub-install / grub --batch
is being run by Anaconda (we can see it in Alt-F5), but many times it's
not successful (Anaconda / booty do not give errors).
If I add the following command to %post, it works around the problem:
/sbin/grub-install `awk -F= '$1 == "#boot" {print $2}' /boot/grub/grub.conf`
