For close to 6 Hours our RHEL4 Host was generating similar SYSLOG Entries:

The System is a Dell Precision 370 where the non-Red Hat Softwares include the nVidia Video Driver provided by DELL and BOINC/SETI@(protected) (V5.15 KWSN for SSE2 Client). System Load from the SETI@(protected) Client was compounded by a large USB 2.0 Drive to USB 1.1 Drive Transfer being performed in the Background. This extra load was also causing SENDMAIL to generate System Messages such as the following one:
-- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ------ Feb 25 19:32:41 XXXXXX sendmail[11620]: rejecting connections on daemon MTA: load average: 12 -- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- --
The SYSLOG Entries terminated when the very last USB to USB Transfer completed, although that very last USB to USB Transfer was begun well before the SYSLOG Entries started appearing (after other USB to USB Transfers had already been started and completed).
