Hello,
when I install redhat 9 on a normal install the kernel loads very fast
immediately after lilo - however when i install the boot partition on a
software raid 1 partition it takes anywhere between 5 and 10 seconds to
decompress the kernel, instead of the normal <1 second
does anybody know why this happens?
its seems to happen in redhat 8 also.
