I want to have in my machine user names like "name.lastname " or something
similar including a dot in the user name. But the standard instalation of
shrike don 't let me add users with dots in their login.
[root@(protected) root]# adduser name.lastname
adduser: invalid user name 'name.lastname '
Is it possible to change some configuration, or override the username rules
to let me create usernames like the one I mentioned ?? Including a dot in
it ???
I also tried using ladduser command and using it with the -n option to avoid
creating the group for the user. I tried using quotes too and It didn 't
work.
Thank you very much. I hope you can help me, I 've searched and nobody
conclude anything about this matter.
