Back Hi, i have a dell power edge server, with scsi hot swap disks. When i add a disk to this server, how do i achive that linux recognize this disk without rebooting the machine? Is it possible? In Solaris, you can add disks or tape drives to a server and execute the devfsadm command and the operative system recognize this new device....is there a similar tool in linux...or a procedure to achieve this? thanx a lot.
