Back This must be the weirdest problem I have ever seen... I got an email this morning from one of my users, he complained about not being able to type the letter 'e ' when using bash. If he changed to csh, it was okay.
I confirmed the problem myself:
[root@*** root]# echo abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz [root@*** root]# su - *** [***@*** ***]$ cho abcdfghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz bash: cho: command not found
As you can see, if I 'su ' to his account I can 't type the letter 'e ' either. No other users have reported anything like this.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any hints on where to start looking? I have triple-checked his .bash* files but quite frankly I have no idea what to look for and they look exactly like every other set of .bash* files I 've ever seen...
