After installing the full RH7.3 distribution including CUPS, I 'm having
problems printing plain text files to the printer.
Sending pdf or png files no problem so I know the printer works fine.
When sending a text file /usr/bin/lp.cups test.txt No file will be printed.
When looking in error_log (/var/log/cups/error_log) it appears that texttops
prematurely dies and creates a file which when parsed by pstoraster as
having invalid commands embedded.
When sending the file via: /usr/bin/lp.cups -o raw test.txt the file prints
but clearly you will not get any of form feed commands etc so if little use
:)
Has anyone seen this? Does anyone have any hints on getting CUPS to print
plain text files??
I tried already at someone suggestion to add to the FontPath directive the
directories /usr/share/fonts/ghostscript etc did not make a difference.
Any ideas are VERY welcome at this point on how to fix this!
