Thanks everyone, I will try that tonight when I get home from work and report back. I didn 't know that switch existed, but it sounds like that should work. Thanks again.

This is how you will lear the difference between "su " and "su - ".

When you just type su, you are still in the same directory, with
the same environment variables, etc. When you type "su - " you
really become root as if you had loggged as root.
