Hmm... there must be a problem somewhere in RedHat 9 and 8.0 since it
works so well in RedHat 7.3 ... I doubt that Pine works with local
language chars for anyone in Europe that uses RedHat 8.0 or 9. Can anyone
please confirm that?

(I 've also downloaded the latest source to Pine 4.55 and compiled it and
it has the exactly same problems.)
