How do I go about editing the printer configuration?

The default configuration prints too near the top of the page,
obliterating the top, and too near the left edge, also obliterating
that portion of the text.

Where is there a FAQ, or some other document explaining that
procedure/

I 'm currently using the LPR default as my printer system.
