firewire support in 7.3

firewire support in 7.3

2002-08-21       - By Miles Vignol

sometimes when i boot, the firewire drives aren 't recognized and no amount of modprobing does the trick to wake them up.

i just end up rebooting a few times till they suddenly are available (after a couple modprobes).

is this just the way it is? i think the controller card i have uses a lucent chip. is there something more bulletproof?
