booting problems

To all,

I am experiencing a problem and I was hoping that someone could help me out
with this situation.
I was running a dual boot system with windows xp on /dev/hda1 and linux on
/dev/hda3. Now, I got rid of windows xp and installed windows2000. It seems
that by doing that, it rewrote the boot sector and grub is now no longer
appearing. Whenever I boot the pc, it goes straight into windows 2000. Can
anyone help me in getting grub to work again? Will I need to configure MBR
and /boot inside linux?
