Hi all,
I 've got in a mess with RedHat 7.3 on an Athlon system (40GB drive,
Athlon 1700XP, 256mb RAM). I had RH7.3 running with GRUB installed on
the MBR, but then (don 't ask!) I installed WinNT over the top of linux.
Now when I reboot I get a message saying "GRUB loading stage 2 " and the
system hangs. If I try reinstalling RH7.3 from the CD I get the same
GRUB message.
If I try reinstalling RH7.3 from my rescue floppy, then I get a "boot: "
prompt, then vmlinuz loads, and then I get "Kernel panic: No init found.
Try passing init= option to kernel. " But which init= option?
How on earth can I get Linux running again? (Forget WinNT!)
