I looked through the manuals for a backup package that would use a hard
drive rather than tape.
The best I found was amanda which can temporarily save to disk and be
flushed to tape later.
Is there a problem using a hard-drive as a backup? All packages seem to
be for tape.
I want a fast way to get everything on my primary drive placed on disk
with crash recovery
in mind. I don 't want a raid mirror as I might save a thing in a bad state.
