Under 7.3 I am currently configured to run my Matrox G450 w/ 32 Meg at
1600x1200 with a vert refresh at 85 Hz. Works great. No complaints.
My question is this: Where is the damned modeline coming from? After
configuring, I got a XF86Config and a XF86Config-4. I understand that if
the -4 file is found it gets used and the former only gets used if the -4
is not found. But the -4 file has no modeline for that resolution! And the
other one does!
Does anyone understand this?
Enquiring minds would like to know :-)
