Is there an "official " way to transfer user account information (user IDs,
passwords, home directories, etc) to another Linux machine? It looks like
I will have to manually copy/edit the /etc/passwd and /etc/group files.
Other Unices often have some sort of account info export utility.
No, I am not planning on setting up NIS nor LDAP. They seem overkill.
