I haven 't yet edited pluggerrc, but tried playing a mid file with KMid (under Gnome). The following error message pops up: "Couldn 't open /dev/sequencer. Probably there is another program using it. "
Kmid and Timidity Synth, though on the menu, fail to load under Gnome. I reiterate: timidity *isn 't* installed due to the aforementioned conflict with kdemultimedia. I *know* that previously (perhaps under the phoebe betas) I was able to listen to MID files in Mozilla, and I am reasonably certain that kdemultimedia support _was_ also installed.
What am I missing, or doing wrong?
