Still PHP problems

Still PHP problems

oops, it 's me again :(

I re-installed rh73, reinstalled apache2.0.39, reinstalled php4.2.2
(yes, i changed the php_functions.c file ) and configured the php.ini
and httpd.conf file properly.

still, after about 3 minutes using a session with a registered session
var on a php site it breaks. it just says "Sending request to
localhost... " (Mozilla, but i tested it from remote machines running
other browsers and it was the same).

The problem exists when
I register a session variable (with $_SESSION and the $HTTP_SESSION_VARS
vars )
and use the page any longer

It stops (also when it already has occurred ) when
I remove the session_start() directive from the scripts
or when I do a "rm -rf /tmp/sess_* " as root (/tmp is my tmp-diretory for
sessions of course )

The problem is not bound to ANY script, it comes with all my scripts
which use sessions and which work on other machines perfectly.

please, if any body has at least the same problem so I would know it 's
not me who 's not liked by my workstation :)
