Dear Friends:
What 's wrong with RH 7.3 graphics?
I used to have my RH 5.1 Linux distribution installed on an old Compaq Prolinea with an Cirrus Logic 5434 video adapter and all was fine.
Then, I decided to upgrade to 7.3 what I did directly from ftp.redhat.com using my ADSL connection. The installation runed OK up to, in the end, xconfigurator or whatever tried to detect the monitor. In that point the server crashed. I restarted fine but, when tried startx I noticed that all the background graphics were ok while the dialog boxes, such as all those windows with warnings, were completely in black or in white doted (depending on the resolution that I adopted).
I tried to setup this distribution (7.3) in another two computers an got the same problem. So, tell me, what 's wrong???
