when compiling a kernel from source.. say, kernel-source-2.4.18-3.i386.rpm,
do you need any extra files installed? When I try to compile a kernel
using my config which installed from the original rpm, I get a few errors..

rather than pasting the lot, that gives you the basic idea. is there
something im missing?
