I think this is the second question in the FAQ on the SpamAssassin
site:
SpamAssassin corrupts my mailbox: mails start with 'rom ' instead of
'From '
Normally, a mailbox file starts each mail with a line that looks like
>From someone@(protected) Thu Jul 25 12:26:41 IST 2002
If you 're seeing messages jammed together, with the second one
starting with a line like the above, but starting with rom, or if the
file starts with rom instead of From, it 's a known bug in
procmail. Upgrade to version 3.22 or later.
