After a few hours of tinkering and learning more about pcmcia I finally
got my Xircom Credit Card Wireless Ethernet Model CWE1100 to work in
shrike.

All I had to do was add

card "Xircom Wireless Network Adapter "
manfid 0x0105, 0x0007
bind "airo_cs "

to /etc/pcmcia/config


There wasn 't anything on Google so I 'm posting it here so it is in the
aims search results and on google. Hope that helps somebody out.
