Then make sure that each directory relative to the directory giving you
the 403 is world readable: i.e. if you want /var/www/html to be your /
directory, /var, /var/www, and /var/www/html all have to be world
readable and executable. Of course if you can pull up individual items
within the directory, this isn 't the problem.
Make sure that the Options line isn 't within some kind of IfModule block
that makes it so that it 's not read. Also, it needs to be part of your
Directory directive.
