I 'm having trouble recording an internet broadcast to an ogg stream.
I 'm using mplayer to decode the stream because it is an asf stream and
I 'm trying to pipe the output to oggencode. The best results that I
have so far are with
mplayer -vc null -vo null -ao pcm -aofile /dev/stdout <stream > |oggenc
/dev/stdin -r -R 22050 -o audiodump.ogg
I get lots of segments with static in them. I 've tried playing with the
cache for mplayer and I 've tried other encoding programs (transcode and
mencoder).
Can anyone help?
