Sort of.  I discussed it with our reseller and they said it shouldn't
matter that the geometries are different.  I ended up using Disk Druid
to create ext3 partitions on the drive with the LBA cylinders, then I
used sfdisk to dump the partition map, vi to convert the partitions to
software RAID, and sfdisk again to install the new partition map on both
drives.  I made sure that I chose partition sizes that would be a whole
number of cylinders on both drives.  I went back into Disk Druid and
created the RAID pairs with no trouble.  Is there any problem with using
software RAID 1 swap?  I thought the machine froze up on me (of course
it could just have been X freezing).  I don't have a network yet, so I
couldn't ssh in to check.
Thanks,
John Dalbec
