Did you restart MailScanner?

I'll try compiling it again. I'm not seeing anything in the logs referring
to dccproc or anything in the emails showing it's scanning. If I call
directly dccproc from the command line, it shows up in the logs, but not
through spamassassin.

I don't recall doing anything special to config/build it.  I just followed
the simple route :)

Also, what args do I want to use with configure?

  ./configure --disable-sys-inst  --disable-server --disable-dccm
--disable-dccifd
               --homedir=$HOME/dir  --bindir=$HOME/bin

those?

I want everyone using the same files, so I should set homedir=/etc/dcc or
something like that.. right? Or /var/dcc .. that's where it installs to
right?

Thanks,
Jake

Oh...I forgot

in /etc/MailScanner/spam.assassin.prefs.conf

# MailScanner: Comment out the next line to enable DCC checking if you
#              have dcc installed (optional part of SpamAssassin)
#score DCC_CHECK 0.0

I am running SpamAssassin, but in the installation files for DCC it tells me
that I have to have the mail filter for sendmail installed. If I don't need
to integrate it with sendmail, only with spamassassin, that is great. Which
files do I need to install? Right now I have compiled and tried to install:

dcc-dccm.tar.Z
adds the sendmail DCC interface, dccm, to mark or filter mail with sendmail

It keeps erroring out saying that I don't have the milter installed.

Since spamassassin can find dcc, do I just install the smallest.. dccproc?

I know in my spamassassin config I have it auto checking for dcc, but this
is the fist time I'm actually installing it.

Thanks,
Jake

Are you not running SpamAssassin?  If not, you should.  SpamAssassin
automatically picks up DCC, razor and pyzor.

I'm trying to get DCC running with MailScanner. My question: on RH9, do I
have to recompile sendmail to add the Mail Filter API or Milter functions?
Or are they precompiled?

Thanks,
Jake
