Connection refused message on trying rsh 2003-11-04 - By Sameer P. Kawatkar
Back Hi, I am trying to use rsh for submiting a job from a server to a remote host. I have enabled rsh in both the machines by creating /etc/hosts.equiv files with the IP addresses of both machines. I have these files in both machines. When I rsh from the remote host to the server it works well but when I try to rsh from the server to the remote host it gives message: 'pc38: connection refused' (pc38 is the remote host name). I did not understand this. Is it something to do with the security settings on remote hosts? or something else? Another question is, I am trying to run a Jaguar job on a linux cluster. We use Condor queuing system for submiting jobs to the cluster. But when I submit the job using a sript, I just stays in the queue idel. The script I use is similar to one which we use for submiting Gaussian jobs. Is any one using Condor to run jaguar jobs on cluster? Thanks and regards
