Alle,

I have recently installed 7.3 from the ISOs (kernel 2.4.18-3) with a
Promise SX6000 RAID card (the only drives in the box) using the driver from
promise (installed with "boot: linux dd". This went without a hitch.
However, now I am trying to run up2date to bring everything up to the
current level. When I upgrade the kernel to 2.4.20-24.7, the existing driver
doesn't get included in the kernel build and the system PANICs on reboot
saying it can't mount /dev/sda2 as "/". Does anyone have any experience with
this? If I have to rebuild the kernel from scratch using make xconfig, in
what section do I tell it how to find the driver?

Best Regards,
Camron
