Back I would appreciate some help resolving this mount command on a freshly installed RH 7.2 system.
The CD drive is a read only IDE device that was just used to reload RH 7.2 on an older Pentium 166 system. This is a Socket 7 FIC motherboard. RH 7.2 has not mounted this device before unless it mounts the CD when it installs the operating system.
This was a server installation with a KDE desktop.
BIOS writes while booting: Found CD-ROM : CDU511
Changing the media has no affect. The fstab entry looks valid to me:
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,kudzu,ro 0 0
The CD drive works fine from the uSoft half of the dual boot.
Regards, FrankK
