Cronolog and Awstats log update : Permissions Denied

Hello List,

I am on Redhat 7.2/Apache 1.3.27
suexec disable.

I have setup cronolog to :

1. Create log files as error_log.hhmmssddmmyyyy format. It creates those
files but the files are created every 2 secs and i end up with lot of
error_log.hh:mm:ss:dd-mm-yyyy files.
2. What should i do if i need to do this every hour.
===>What solution i found is i changed the format to error_log.HHDDMMYYYY
ans it Worked fine i.e the log files are
created every hour now but these files are created as root user.
(Suexec Disable*)

2. I am using Awstats which uses the access_log files as the source for the
Report Generation. But since the Log files format  has been changed how do i
tell awstats abt the changed log file format. I know it has got a conf file
for it but not sure on how to go abt it.

3. As the log files are created as root user Awstats Refuses to "Update it
Now", It says "Permmission denied", So for this last problem of mine is
Enabling Suexec is the solution and using a User and Group directive in the
VirtualHost Entry should be ok!

Rgds,
Tina
