List: My Dell DIM4550 HW is pretty much unknown to my RH7.2 SW.

>From the drivers seat there is no sound from the PCI SB Live (WDM). The AGP
Card is running in PCI mode according to /var/message.

I'm not in a situation where hours of upgrade downloads are practical.

I don't see that RH is making the upgrades available on CDs to buy.

On this list I have heard hints that distros other than RH provide upgrade
methods that don't require the massive downloads.

So I'm thinking that I need to go shopping for a newer Linux OS more
compatible with my HW and my upgrade limitations.

Any suggestions?
