CONGRADS! :)  (really).  The way linux (unix) treats filesystems and
devices is logical, consistent, and gives you a lot of power and
flexability.  It's quite different from the way m$dos/windo$e does
things (assigning drive letters and so on).

For sure things like this are a learning curve when it first hits
you, but the view from the top of each steep hill you will climb
just keeps getting better and better...  and there is a lot of
helpful documentation everywhere on the net to help you on your way
(http://google.com/linux and http://tldp.org/ are your friends).

It would be possible to get it working (not sure how, I would need
to fiddle with this myself:)  Perhaps someone else can help here?

The default pager is /usr/bin/less, and you quit from that with
either `q' or `ZZ' (`ZZ' mimics vi's ZZ save-and-quit-file command).

It is possible to create a ~/.lessrc file that allows you to
customise its behaviour to do things like bind the Esc key to quit
the pager... see "man lesskey" (and "man less", "less --help" and
the 'h' help screen from within less).

Sure, why not?  I've been called worse things...  :)

(12 years of solid unix experience, 9 with linux, so I guess I don't
mind too much.  but probably more of a geek than a wiz ;)
