hi all serious troublesome RH 9.0
I put Rh 9.0 in one machine with asus A7S266VM
ok lemmi tell u all problems i faced (don considert
this as crosspost but i want to reach more people)
1. installation took lot of time
compared sweet little RH 7.3 (stable ***)
2. sis900 onboard ethernat driver doesn't work
3 so had to put 2 pci cards, wasted money
4. ok after network was up, one more extra route was
up god knows how it came...
route gave ...168.194.0.0 0 0 ...
5. when one month was over , both eth0 modules failed
both pci cards were dlink rtl8139 chips
i could never load modules therafter
6. reloaded 7.3 but it cant be loaded on that f***
ASUS
board.
7. SO i had to buy new VIA board and reinstalled it
with 7.3
me and my RH 7.3 enjoy the power of AMD xp2000+
my implementations wer sendamil and squid proxy with
gateway and cable modem connection
please b carefull if u r buyin ASUS boards
