Multibooter Shutdown prob

Multibooter Shutdown prob

Dear folks,

Could you help me on this?

Apparently, Windows does not perform an ATX cold shutdown if it
detects that it doesn't "own" the MBR. I have seen this happen
with Linux also, as well as on pc's with more than one Windows. I
do not know, however whether it is a bug/feature of bootloaders
across platforms. It is especially a problem with multibooters
where apparently the OS that does not detect its own loader fails
to perform a shutdown. Only way out is a manual poweroff after the
OS shutdown, which is inconvenient and potentially damaging to the
hardware.

any ways to byepass this problem?
