You should start with a little bit of homework, so the next set of
questions will have some meat on them. :)

Do google searches for the networking3-howto and the ethernet-howto for
starters. Then you will either be looking at ipchains or iptables for the
firewall. I'de suggest iptables, as it's the most recent and has a ton of
features not found in ipchains. Google for the netfilter-howto to get
started. There are also some little gui thingies out there to help you
configure your firewall, but I dunno anything about them (command line
user myself).

I've heard some good things about smoothwall, so it might be worth taking
a look at.
