Back Thanks for replying Keith. I solved the problem yesterday. I installed the cards as usual then I did an: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
To do it permanently I edited the net.ipv4.ip_forward entry in /etc/sysctl.conf to a value of 1
My box is routing perfectly. Now I'm concentrating on IPsec for this box such that it will be the gateway and endpoint for 7 vpn tunnells.
How's that for good homework Keith ;) It was a hard day yesterday until I found that out from scratch but it was worth it. As you said Google has become my best friend...

You should start with a little bit of homework, so the next set of questions will have some meat on them. :)
Do google searches for the networking3-howto and the ethernet-howto for starters. Then you will either be looking at ipchains or iptables for the firewall. I'de suggest iptables, as it's the most recent and has a ton of features not found in ipchains. Google for the netfilter-howto to get started. There are also some little gui thingies out there to help you configure your firewall, but I dunno anything about them (command line user myself).
I've heard some good things about smoothwall, so it might be worth taking a look at.
