Back I would like to network a LINUX box to talk to both PCs on a very old Netware 3.12 network using the IPX protocol, and a MAC using the TCP/IP protocol. I have a few questions.
1. Does LINUX support the IPX protocol, and if so what do I need to do to enable a LINUX machine to use the IPX protocol? 2. Can I run both protocols on the same network interface, or should I use two different Ethernet cards and keep every thing separate?
My goal is to have shared disk space on a LINUX PC that is common to both the PCs using IPX and a MAC that does not support IPX but can use TCP/IP. Currently this mess has about 10 PCs and 1 MAC. I see little future growth. I just want to transfer files between the PCs and MAC.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
