You don't allow IMAP to pass, so it clearly cannot work. And from your
question, I suspect that your POP server is not active... POP & IMAP services
are not part of sendmail at all, they live under the internet daemon xinetd.

Have a look at the files /etc/xinetd.d/{ipop3,imap}, change the line
disable=yes in disable=no and restart xinetd (with 'service xinetd restart',
for instance).

Also, tcp wrappers can be in your way: change /etc/hosts.{allow,deny} to suit
your need ('man hosts.allow' is your friend).
