Back Hi Again Keith, The issue has been resolved. The Problem was that i didn't compile popmail --enable-roaming-users=y and the pop3 service didnt know that i am using qmail-popup so i added it in /etc/xinetd.d/ipop3 the following : server = /var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup server_args = foo.bar.com /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d which resolved it :) Thanks Tina. > > Hi again Tina... > > > Hello All, > > > > I am using outlook Express for my mails, The mail server is a Linux > > Redhat 7.2 box with Qmail and > > cyrus-sasl-1 (See http://asl-1.ora-code.com).5.24-25 > > cyrus-sasl-devel-1 (See http://vel-1.ora-code.com).5.24-25 > > cyrus-sasl-plain-1 (See http://ain-1.ora-code.com).5.24-25 > > cyrus-sasl-md5-1.5.24-25 > > imap-2001 (See http://map-2001.ora-code.com)a-10 > > > > When i try to connect to the mail server it pops-up the login window for > > Username and passwd , i entered the correct login name and passwd but > > still it does not accept it. > > When i checked for the logs here is what it says : > > Aug 29 20:38:26 eric ipop3d[3330]: pop3 service init from 66.230.226.123 > > Aug 29 20:38:31 eric ipop3d[3330]: Command stream end of file while > > reading line user=gbounce@(protected) host=[61.11.23.201] > > One of my clients is catching this same error.
