Assigning 2 addresses to 1 nic

Assigning 2 addresses to 1 nic

I believe it's ifconfig ethx alias x.x.x.x/x.x.x.x

otherwise you have to setup a ethx:1 in the startup scripts.

One thing, I believe, once you assign an alias, you can't unassign it
without re-booting, whereas if you setup an ethx:1 you can issue
an ifdown ethx:1 to have it stop responding.
