  | | | deleting old kernels | deleting old kernels 2003-01-14 - By Kevin Weslowski
Back Hello,
After getting a kernel upgrade through up2date, I've used the kernel confidently for quite a while now, and I was wondering what I need to do
to completely get rid of all traces of the old kernel...I believe there should only be 2 steps: 1) do an rpm uninstall of that old kernel 2) remove the "backup kernel" code from lilo manually, that up2date put in there when the new kernel was installed
am I missing anything? I just don't want any unnecessary remnants of the old kernel or anything to do with it after I decide to remove it...thanks in advance,
Kevin
